A diverse community, events for everyone?
It is wonderful that there are more and more cultural and festive proposals throughout the year, but it is also worth asking ourselves: are these events designed for everyone within the LGTBIQ+ collective? Sometimes, the offer is concentrated on certain audiences – especially cis gay men -, leaving aside other identities such as trans, non-binary, racialized or disabled people. Where are your spaces? Real inclusion also involves diversifying formats, themes and access. The party is necessary, yes, but it cannot be the only language to celebrate pride. Perhaps there is work to be done to make absolutely everyone feel welcome.
The diversity of events in Madrid and Barcelona during April 2025 reflects the dynamism and richness of the LGTBIQ+ community. These activities offer spaces for celebration, reflection and connection, demonstrating that Pride is an attitude that is lived all year round. Do you dare to be part of this vibrant agenda?
