- The organization confirms the extension of its strategic alliance to promote culture, leisure and inclusive sports throughout the year.
The Fulanita Fest Fuengirola 2026 festival has closed its fifth edition with unprecedented success, registering more than 9,000 attendees in the Malaga town. The event, firmly established as the largest lesbian, bisexual and transgender festival on the planet, concluded last Sunday after displaying an intense cultural, sports and musical agenda. The official figures provided by the organizers confirm the exponential growth of an event that is already an indisputable reference for the visibility of the entire LGTBIQ+ group on a global level.
The cultural impact of the fifth edition in Malaga
The official programming of the festival took place uninterruptedly between May 25 and 31, turning the municipality of the Costa del Sol into the epicenter of dissidence. During the seven days of celebration, participants were able to enjoy a diverse offering that included top-level concerts, sports competitions, arthouse film screenings and multiple night and daytime entertainment venues.

The main goal of this call has been the creation of fully open coexistence environments free of sexist or LGBTIphobic violence. The proposal not only seeks mass entertainment, but also the articulation of mutual support networks and the promotion of identity expression. The response of the public, who has come from various points of Spain and internationally, demonstrates the value of the festival as a refuge of freedom.
Corporate alliances that promote social cohesion
This year’s qualitative leap has been directly supported by Adamo, the telephone and Internet operator that has served as main sponsor of the Malaga event. The company’s involvement responds to a strategy that seeks to transcend the usual technical deployment of fiber optics in rural environments and depopulated areas. The company thus links its technological infrastructure with the support of social projects capable of structuring communities and bringing people together.
For the operator, connectivity is not limited to the installation of cables and data networks, but rather the facilitation of common spaces for interaction. Through this sponsorship, the brand publicly reinforces its emotional and corporate connection with the needs of the group of lesbian and bisexual women, financing the economic viability of a festival that requires a high level of logistics for its proper functioning.
Safe spaces for visibility and rest
The festival management has highly valued the impact of these collaborations on the users’ experience. Beatriz Fernández Ibáñez, co-organizer of the event, has stated that the event represents a profound social movement and an indispensable platform to guarantee the visibility of dissident realities, promoting the celebration from mutual respect.
For her part, Laura Escobar, also responsible for the organization, has expressed the entity’s gratitude for the real commitment demonstrated by the telecommunications operator. As a notable novelty this year, the festival infrastructure incorporated the so-called “Caaalma de Adamo Zone”, a public area designed for rest that offered a free charging service for mobile devices, sofas for rest and a photo booth intended to immortalize the public’s memories.
A transformation project that extends throughout the year
The relevance of Fulanita Fest Fuengirola 2026 will not be diluted after the collection of the main stages. Those responsible for the initiative have officially announced that the commercial alliance with the promoting firm, Fulanita de Tal, will remain in force for the rest of the fiscal year with the firm intention of continuing its work.
This contractual extension will allow for stable financing of various sports, cultural and inclusive leisure activities over the coming months. With this movement, the organization guarantees that the defense of human rights, real equality and the empowerment of LGTBIQ+ women continue to have a presence on the social agenda beyond the traditional dates of Pride.
