- The La MariQueen room will host the event this Friday, June 26, starting at 9:00 p.m. as a space for dissident culture and political resistance.
- The musical lineup combines the electronic pop of Antimorbo, the avant-garde folklore of DeTeresa and the historical transformism of Libertad Montero.
- The leadership of the party, with Mónica García, Rita Maestre and Carla Antonelli at the helm, will support the event in full offensive against hate speech.
The Chueca neighborhood recovers its role as the epicenter of cultural activism and political contestation at the gates of the capital’s central Pride weeks. The political group led by Mónica García has officially announced the celebration of the VI edition of “Más Orgullo”, the consolidated LGTBIQ+ Más Madrid party. The event will take place this coming Friday, June 26, starting at 9:00 p.m., proposing a stage proposal that fuses avant-garde music, the art of drag and the demand for civil rights in a context of upsurge in social intolerance.
La Prohibida acts as master of ceremonies at La MariQueen
The setting chosen to host this new sectoral call is the MariQueen room, a nighttime reference space located at number 10 Barbieri Street. The evening will have an exceptional host: the singer and songwriter La Prohibida. Become a living myth for several generations of the Spanish transgressive community, the Flash performer will act as grand dame of ceremonies, bringing her proven artistic career and her historical commitment to the causes of sexual liberation to the forefront of the night’s performances.
The design of this year’s poster seeks to give visibility to the most unorthodox sound proposals of the Madrid independent scene. Among the main confirmations, DeTeresa stands out, a local creator and producer who stands out in the current market for her ability to hybridize the rhythmic bases of industrial electronic music with the structures of folklore and the traditional tradition of the plateau, developing her own sound discourse focused on the deconstruction of popular identity and neighborhood memory.

Irreverent pop and anti-racist dissidence on social networks
The younger audience will have the intervention of Antimorbo, a content creator and digital influencer who has capitalized on the attention on social networks thanks to his videos of social satire and parliamentary criticism. The artist will bring his irreverent and festive pop repertoire to the Madrid venue, playing viral singles such as ringtone, Modern Party or his famous reinterpretation of the classic Embrujada, consolidating a stage proposal that uses humor and irony as tools of youthful response.
The commitment to intersectional and decolonial activism will come from the performer Gad Yola. His intervention will put the political focus on the demands of the migrant population and racialized people through the interpretation of their social complaint themes Aguanta migranta and Travesti del Perú. The most classic Madrid transformismo quota will be protected by the performance of Libertad Montero, one of the most respected figures of the capital’s nights, while the closing of the day will be carried out by the mixing sessions of the DJs Travest1smo and Luís Morillo.
Institutional deployment against the reactionary offensive
The “More Pride” event will also serve as a meeting point for the main public officials and institutional representatives of the party at different levels of the administration. The organization has confirmed the attendance of the Minister of Health, Mónica García; the municipal spokesperson in the Madrid City Council, Rita Maestre; the parliamentary spokesperson in the autonomous Assembly, Manuela Bergerot; the regional deputy Edu Rubiño, the activist and senator Carla Antonelli and the deputy Jimena González, among other organic officials.
The coordinators of the LGTBIQ+ Más Madrid party have stressed that the opening of these community spaces is essential in a political period conditioned by the rise of reactionary discourses that seek to reverse the legal achievements of the community. Tickets to access the Barbieri Street venue are now available for purchase through the training’s official website platform (masmadrid.org/masorgullo), allocating logistical efforts to consolidating nightlife as a non-negotiable engine of social transformation, visibility and collective freedom.
