From June 23 to 27, San Sebastián de los Reyes will be dyed with the colors of the rainbow to commemorate LGTBIQ+ Pride 2025. A program full of cultural, educational and protest proposals invites citizens to celebrate diversity, to question prejudices and to make visible realities that are often silenced.

The initiative, promoted by the Delegation of Equality and Diversity of the City Council, reaffirms the institutional commitment to human rights and the freedom to be, feel and love without fear. Although it may seem like a celebration, what lies behind it is much more: memory, struggle and the desire to build a more just society.

Programming for all ages, all bodies and all stories

For five days, the city will offer a variety of activities ranging from the experience of LGTBIQ+ elders to the representation of dissident identities in classical art. Here are some of the most notable events:

📍 Gloria Fuertes Municipal Center for the Elderly

A necessary conversation about those who lived – and survived – when being LGTBIQ+ was synonymous with silence, persecution or emotional exile. The December 26 Foundation will lead this essential meeting.

Cultural outing to the Prado Museum: ‘The Diverse Prado’
🕔 Meeting point: Puerta de Murillo, 17:15

A guided tour of the most emblematic museum in Spain, focused on reading between the lines (and brush strokes). What identities have been represented? What bodies have been erased? What does art tell us about love and desire throughout history?

A symbolic act, but also political. Because each word read aloud is a way of saying “we are still here,” and of remembering that there is still a lot to fight for.

An open invitation to the meeting

The City Council calls on you to actively participate in all activities. It is not just about attending, but about being present with a critical, open and supportive outlook. Because building a society free of hate and full of affection is not the task of just a few, but of everyone.
