Barcelona has always been a meeting point for the LGTBIQ+ community, and in 2025 the bear scene (bears and their admirers) is still more alive than ever. If you’re looking for a night of beers, laughter and beards, the Eixample neighborhood —known as the Gaixample— is the epicenter of this culture. But where to start? Here we leave you an updated route with the most notable bear bars in the city.

🏳️‍🌈 Other inclusive bars in Gaixample

While not exclusively geared towards bears, these bars offer an inclusive and diverse atmosphere:

  • La Chapelle: A small bar with vintage decor, ideal for a drink calm.

  • Punto BCN: One of the oldest gay bars in Barcelona, perfect to socialize.

And what about diversity within the bear community?

It is important to recognize that, although the bear scene in Barcelona is vibrant, it is not without its challenges. Some spaces may seem exclusive for trans, non-binary or people of different ethnicities. Are we doing enough to make everyone feel welcome? Real inclusion goes beyond aesthetics; requires active commitment from the entire community.
