- The Department of Equality and the La Pluma Association present a month of June full of culture, demands and storytelling.
- This year’s focus: the visibility of intersex people and the fight against hate speech.
- The great protest march will travel through the streets of the municipality on June 27.
Parla is not far behind. The City Council has presented a program of the LGTBIQ+ pride 2026 that once again puts coexistence and dignity at the center. With activities that start this month and extend until the end of June, the city in the south of Madrid reaffirms its commitment with a clear message: Parla is a safe space for everyone.
Stella Marinera: Local talent for the proclamation
The highlight of the start of the festivities will be on Friday, May 29. The Plaza de la Guardia Civil will vibrate with the proclamation of Stella Marinera, a Parleña drag performer recognized for her art and activism, who will be in charge of officially opening a month of celebration.
Marina Morcillo López, Councilor for Equality, Feminism and LGTBI, highlighted that this edition seeks to involve all citizens, from schoolchildren to adults: “We want a city where each person can live with freedom and dignity.”

A Pride with social conscience
This 2026, Parla focuses on one of the most invisible realities of the group: intersexuality. Through their actions, bodily autonomy and depathologization will be vindicated. In addition, the programming includes necessary spaces for reflection, such as the Queer Cinema For Palestine cycle or Pablo Alamá’s monologue, “Manual para forse a un macho con vagina”, which promises to break taboos about trans identity.
Featured Pride Parla 2026 agenda:
- May 23 (7pm): Official presentation of the programming at the La Pluma headquarters.
- May 29 (7 p.m.): Official proclamation with Stella Marinera in the Plaza de la Guardia Civil.
- June 9 (6pm): Cinema Forum: Queer Cinema For Palestine at the House of Culture.
- June 19 (6:30 p.m.): Monologue by Pablo Alamá at the C.C. Almudena Grandes.
- June 20 (11am): Children’s story-telling “Stories with Pride”.
- June 27 (7 p.m.): Demonstration and Marizumba, the grand closing from South Boulevard.
The big final event will be on Saturday, June 27, with the traditional march organized by the La Pluma Association, which will culminate with a “Marizumba” to celebrate that, in Parla, pride does not take a step back.
