The end of summer in Madrid will have a very special feel this year. And we’re not talking about the routines that return or the heat that still looms. The Railway Museum will become a setting straight out of the Harry Potter books and movies for two days. This is Back to Hogwarts Madrid 2025, a free meeting – although with very limited capacity – that promises to transport visitors to an improvised Hogwarts in the heart of Paseo de las Delicias.
An immersive experience in the heart of Madrid
On Sunday, August 31 and Monday, September 1, those who get a ticket will be able to tour a space transformed for the occasion for half an hour. Corridors, corners and decorations designed so that magic sneaks into every detail. The best? The photos that will come out of there will probably be the most shared of the end of summer.
Free tickets, but with a trick
Although access is free of charge, prior reservation is required. Each person may request up to four nominative tickets. Important: without a ticket you will not be able to enter, and they will most likely sell out in a matter of minutes. The recommendation is clear: if you want to live the experience, it is better to pay attention to the official website from the first moment.
The big countdown
One of the most anticipated moments will be the traditional countdown of September 1 at 11:00, when in fiction the train leaves for Hogwarts. But be careful: only those who have reserved tickets for the period from 09:00 to 10:15 will be able to witness it. A detail that will probably generate more than one debate among fans about how quickly those seats will fly.
A plan designed for everyone
The organization wanted to make it clear that the event is open to all ages. Families, friends or lonely fans will find their place on this magical journey. The route is accessible for wheelchair users and access with baby strollers is permitted. Of course, scooters and animals are excluded, unless they are service or therapeutic.
Beyond the perfect photo
The interesting thing about Back to Hogwarts Madrid 2025 is not only the possibility of posing in an immersive setting. It is also an excuse to get together, share dreams and reconnect with a universe that marked the childhood and adolescence of many people. And perhaps that is the key: what is it about Harry Potter that, two decades later, continues to generate these collective experiences? The answer is not simple, but it may lie in the desire to believe—if only for a moment—that magic still exists.
