“I almost didn’t tell it”: The survivor’s story
The origin of the attack is located in the bathrooms of the establishment, where four women began to scold Bianca. According to the victim’s story, the aggressors shouted at him: “Oh, travelo, you think you’re a woman, go to the men’s bathroom.” After this first physical confrontation, in which they threw his glasses on the floor, the situation escalated at the exit of the pub, where the group increased to a dozen people who began to kick and punch him while the insults continued.
Despite the physical pain and the psychological impact of having been attacked by a pack of eight individuals, Bianca has sent a message of resilience: “They have hit my body, they have tried to extinguish my face, but they have not been able to touch my soul or my dignity”. The young woman has confirmed that the case is already under judicial investigation.
The violence of the attack culminated in a bottle blow to the head that left the young woman seriously injured. Bianca was initially treated at the La Bañeza health center and later transferred to the Benavente Hospital. The official medical report confirms a four-centimeter incised-contused wound on the upper eyelid that required seven stitches, in addition to various bruises all over the body resulting from the beating.
Demand for justice and real protection
This new transphobic attack on Bianca is not an isolated case, but rather adds to the worrying escalation of hate crimes in Spain during 2026. The Miss Trans Spain organization has demanded zero tolerance for these acts and real protection for trans people, who continue to see how their existence becomes an act of daily bravery. “We cannot continue to normalize living in fear,” they emphasize in their official statement.
The road to justice for Bianca has just begun. With the support of her fellow contestants and various LGTBIQ+ associations, the young woman has assured that her “crown is now her bravery”. The recovery of the images from the security cameras will be decisive for the eight attackers to answer before the law for a hate crime that has nearly cost the life of one of the most promising voices of trans visibility in Castilla y León.
