The curtain rises once again to transport us to a place and time where music, dance and cultural effervescence were intertwined with the shadow of an uncertain future. The LETSGO company invites us to an unprecedented theatrical experience with its new immersive adaptation of the iconic musical Cabaret, which redefines the legendary Kit Kat Klub with a contemporary look. Get ready to immerse yourself in a fascinating, but also turbulent time, at the UMusic Hotel Teatro Albéniz, from September 18 to November 27, with performances from Tuesday to Sunday.

The Kit Kat Klub: More than a Stage, a Shelter

Under the baton of acclaimed director Federico Bellone, known for hits such as Ghost and The Phantom of the Opera, this new Cabaret production promises total immersion. The original book by Joe Masteroff, with music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, comes to life through an all-star cast led by Abril Zamora, Amanda Digón and Pepe Nufrio, among other talented artists.

The set design is, in itself, a work of art that completely transforms the theatrical space. The UMusic Hotel Teatro Albéniz becomes an authentic cabaret, enveloping the viewer in an atmosphere that takes them directly to Berlin in the 1930s. Every detail is designed so that you experience history in a closer way, feeling part of that bohemian world and, at the same time, threatened.

Love, Resistance and Survival in Dark Times

The plot of Cabaret places us in a Berlin on the brink of the abyss, just when Nazism begins its rise. At the center of this maelstrom we find Sally Bowles, an English singer with a hedonistic life in the Kit Kat Klub, who tries to evade the growing political threat. His path crosses that of Cliff Bradshaw, an American novelist who comes to the city looking for inspiration. At the same time, the relationship between Fraülein Schneider and Herr Schultz, a Jewish fruit shop owner, is threatened by turbulent political events.

The work is a mirror of how the characters fight to survive emotionally in a world that is crumbling around them. With a tone of irony and often an atmosphere of pessimism, Cabaret shows us how the Kit Kat Klub becomes an oasis of fun and escape from oppression. It is a reminder of how, even in the most difficult times, humanity seeks refuge in art and celebration, while the reality outside becomes increasingly bleak.

How do we react when freedom and diversity are at stake? What role does art play in times of crisis?
