  • The program takes place from September 9 to 13 under the slogan «In the face of your hate, our pride».
  • The demonstration will leave on Saturday the 12th at 6:30 PM from Plaça de l’Algeps.
  • Talks, podcasts, entity fair, performances, and games combine training, advocacy, and gathering.

The Elche Pride 2026 begins this Wednesday, September 9, with five days of activities organized by the LGTBI Table of the city. The program will cover the Congress Center, the UMH Classroom, the Station Promenade, and the 1st of May Social Center until Sunday the 13th.

Five days to respond to hate with community

The slogan «In the face of your hate, our pride» sets the political framework for an edition that does not separate celebration from advocacy. The programming disseminated by Dimove Elche brings together public conversation, outreach, associative fabric, demonstration, and leisure in a daily sequence that begins today and culminates on Sunday.

The organization corresponds to the LGTBI Table of Elche. The information published by Radio Elche identifies Dimove, Amnesty International, Elche Acoge, CCOO, UGT, Miguel Hernández University, and the Elche City Council in that table. This composition explains a program that combines human rights, social action, university, unionism, and culture.

The kickoff will be today, Wednesday the 9th, at 7:00 PM at the Ciutat d’Elx Congress Center. Elche Acoge and Amnesty International will give the talk «Intersexuality, diverse sexualities, and cultures». The first appointment places realities that often remain outside the most visible narratives of the collective at the center.

On Thursday the 10th, also at 7:00 PM and at the Congress Center, the Russian LGTBI activist Iván Timajóvich will address «How States become LGTBIfobic». The session proposes to study the case of Russia to identify warning signs, according to the official program.

From debate to public voice

Friday’s program will move to the UMH Classroom in Plaza de Baix. At 7:00 PM, the podcast «La Acera de Enfrente» will be recorded live. The format incorporates a conversation designed to be heard beyond the room and turns the university into one of the spaces of the journey.

Saturday the 12th will concentrate the central events. Between 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM, the Station Promenade will host an LGTBIQ+ Entity Fair. The organization presents it as an opportunity to get to know the groups that work for rights and diversity, so the morning will be dedicated to making visible the network that supports everyday work.

At 6:30 PM, the LGTBIQ+ Pride demonstration of Elche will depart from Plaça de l’Algeps, in the Chimeneas area. The route will end at the Station Promenade. The event is the core advocacy of the program and the call urges to defend rights, freedom, and diversity in the street.

The choice of a slogan that directly responds to hate continues that approach. It is not just about announcing a party, but about expressing that collective visibility is a response to discrimination and hostile discourse.

A Saturday of demonstration and culture

After the march, the Station Promenade will continue to be the meeting point. Starting at 9:00 PM, Hornella Góngora, Venedita Von Däsh, and DJ Cascales will perform. The programming defines these interventions as advocacy performances, maintaining the political thread of the day within the show.

The concentration of fair, demonstration, and stage in one day facilitates a complete experience: first getting to know the work of the entities, then occupying public space, and finally sharing a cultural celebration. Each block has a different function, but all three reinforce the same idea of visible community.

The closing will come on Sunday the 13th at 5:30 PM with the Dimove Reunited Games at the 1st of May Social Center. The activity will feature entertainment and prizes. Dimove keeps specific forms open on its website to participate in the convertible bus, volunteer, and sign up for the games.

Those who want to attend any of the events should check the organization’s channels in case any modifications are published. The activities are spread across four venues, so it is advisable to check the location and time of each day before traveling.

Practical information about Elche Pride

The Elche Pride 2026 is celebrated from Wednesday the 9th to Sunday the 13th of September. The Ciutat d’Elx Congress Center hosts the first two talks; the UMH Classroom in Plaza de Baix receives the podcast; the Station Promenade gathers the fair and performances; and the 1st of May Social Center concludes the programming.

The demonstration on Saturday is the event that requires a more precise reference: departure at 6:30 PM from Plaça de l’Algeps and arrival at the Station Promenade. The fair will start that same morning at 10:00 AM and the performances will begin at 9:00 PM.

Five days allow Pride not to depend on a single gesture. Elche opens spaces to listen to intersex experiences, examine State LGTBIfobia, produce public conversation, meet with associations, and march. The program turns the slogan into a concrete agenda and proposes participation in various ways.

The edition kicks off today. Its message is not limited to a stage: it moves through civic, academic, and cultural spaces of the city, with the demonstration as the point of maximum visibility.
