A space for training, reflection and commitment to a more diverse and egalitarian society

The Torremolinos Conference Center is preparing to be, on June 4 and 5, the Andalusian epicenter of dialogue on rights, diversity and public policies on LGTBIQ+ matters. The Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality organizes this V International LGTBI Congress of Andalusia, which has already opened its registration period—completely free—through its official website.

This forum, now consolidated, is presented as a meeting point for professionals, activists, civil servants and citizens interested in moving towards a more egalitarian society. The activity is approved by the Andalusian Institute of Public Administration, which adds official training value.

Diversity, education and rights at the center of the debate

The motto of this edition, “Andalusia: land of equality, freedom and diversity”, clearly summarizes the spirit of the event. During two days, current challenges will be addressed to guarantee the effective protection of the right to emotional-sexual and gender diversity. And not from a theoretical perspective, but with a clear practical and transformative vocation.

One of the main focuses will be cyberbullying and bullying, especially in the educational environment. How to identify these violences? What tools do teachers, professionals and young people have to prevent or report them? These and other questions will make their way through different presentations, round tables and spaces for shared analysis.

Among the featured topics:

  • Strategies to prevent harassment in networks and educational centers.
  • The role of the media in the face of digital LGTBIphobia.
  • Torremolinos as a reference for inclusion and visibility.

In addition, the second day will focus on the future of education from an inclusive perspective, concluding with the presentation “Everyday Lives”, which promises to put a face and voice to the realities experienced by people in the group. As a symbolic closing, the raising of the LGTBI flag will mark the start of Pride Torremolinos 2025, connecting institutional activism and community celebration.
