On July 19, the LGTBIQ+ community has an essential event in the heart of Barcelona. The Pride 2025 demonstration starts at 6 p.m. from Plaça Universitat and will travel through the streets to Passeig de Lluís Companys.
One more year, Barcelona is preparing to be dyed in all colors. But beyond the celebration, Pride 2025 returns with a clear mission: claim rights, make diversities visible and remember that the fight is still valid.
In a social context that is not always supportive, the demonstration is emerging as a political, collective and deeply necessary act.
📍 Confirmed route: from the center to the heart
The call is on Saturday, July 19 at 6:00 p.m. in Plaça Universitat, a location that is already common in these marches. From there, the route will continue along Gran Via to culminate in the Passeig de Lluís Companys, at the foot of the Arc de Triomf, a symbolic space of freedom and encounter.

As every year, the participation of activists, entities, families, youth and allies is expected. It is recommended to arrive early, bring banners, water and a desire to proudly express what has been silenced so many times.
🏳️🌈 Why do we keep going out on the streets?
Although some voices insist that “everything is already achieved”, the truth is that hate speech, LGTBIQphobia and political setbacks are more present than it seems. The demonstration is not just a party: it is a tool to point out injustices, demand equality and build a safe space for everyone.
Marching in Pride is also paying tribute to those who paved the way and defending the present for future generations. Because rights are not inherited: they are conquered and defended.
✊ A call to collective action
This year, the organization makes a clear call: actively participate, make visible through love and resistance, and not let pride become something superficial or commercial.
In the face of attempts to instrumentalize the movement by brands or institutions, it is important to recover the original meaning of Pride: a revolt, a protest, an affirmation of existence in the face of rejection.
🌟 See you on the streets of Barcelona!
On July 19, we have a date with history, with memory and with the future. At Rainbow we encourage you to participate, claim and, above all, live pride in all its forms.
Because to exist is to resist.
