A celebration of diversity and the fight for rights
Every summer, Madrid becomes the heart of the LGTBIQ+ demand at the state level. The great Pride demonstration, which will take place this year on Saturday, July 5, 2025, is the high point of a week of activities, concerts and collective actions that seek to make diversity visible and demand real equalityfor lesbians, gays, trans, bisexual, intersex people and many more identities that are part of our group. This event is a sample of the strength of the movement and the spirit of Madrid lgtbiq+ pride.
Although the central event is in the capital, Pride extends throughout Spain. From small municipalities to large cities, thousands of people take to the streets with a clear message: our rights are not negotiable.
Madrid lgtbiq+ pride is not only a celebration, but also a call to action for all those who support equality and human rights.
🏳️🌈 A symbolic tour through the streets of Madrid
The state demonstration will travel through some of the most emblematic roads of the city. The starting point will be the Carlos V roundabout (Atocha), and the tour will end at the Plaza de Colón, where a manifesto with the main demands of the group will be read.
The departure is scheduled at 6:00 p.m., but as every year, it is recommended to arrive early. Not only because of the large influx—around two million people are expected, according to the organization—but because the atmosphere that is breathed before the start is already, in itself, a celebration.
🤝 A plural, open and committed call
The demonstration is organized by FELGTBI+ and COGAM, with the support of AEGAL, entities that have historically promoted the visibility of the group and fought for their rights. But this is not just an institutional march. It is a state call that brings together associations, groups, activist platforms and individuals from all over the country.
Madrid Pride is a space open to all citizens, regardless of their orientation, identity or gender expression. Those who participate do so with a common objective: to defend diversity and reject any form of discrimination.
🎉 Pride Festival: concerts, art and pride from July 2 to 6
Beyond the demonstration, MADO (Madrid Pride) offers a cultural and festive agenda that turns the city center into a stage full of music, demands and joy. This year, the festival will be held from July 2 to 6, and its main focal points will be:
- Plaza de España
- Puerta del Sol
- Pedro Zerolo Square
- Queens Square
Renowned artists such as Ana Torroja, Rozalén, Gloria will perform on the different stages. Trevi, Pastora Soler, Samantha Hudson, Chanel, Edurne, Soraya, Falete or Nebulossa, among many others. A diverse program that celebrates both mainstream talent and independent musical activism.
🏁 A date not to be left out
Pride is, above all, a celebration of the right to exist and love freely. Participating is a way to thank those who paved the way before, but also to raise our voices for what still remains to be conquered. Whether as an activist, artist, neighbor or ally, each one adds up. Because equality is not yet guaranteed, and the street remains an essential space to remember it.
