Casto Divo returns to the literary scene with double news. On one hand, the launch of his new novel, “The Boy from Nowhere”, an emotional and devastating thriller about memory and the love that saves, now available on Amazon. On the other hand, the recognition he has just received: the Antonio Roig Roselló 2026 Award for his work in artivism, which the Ibiza association Sa Clau de s’Armari will present on November 7.

What is “The Boy from Nowhere” about?

It is a thriller set in a small town in Wales where the rain never stops and the disappearance of several teenagers fuels collective fear. The plot begins when a storm crosses the fate of Álex Dunne with that of Yago, a nameless boy who seems to emerge from nowhere and who remembers neither his face nor his past.

Between Álex and Yago, a magnetic and deep connection is born that leads them to delve into a mystery buried under rust, scrap, and four years of silence. Together they must face a presence lurking in the fog and a monster that never knew it was one until it was too late. Casto Divo thus constructs a story as intimate as it is unsettling, demonstrating that even the margins of memory can transform everything.

Where and when can the novel be purchased?

“The Boy from Nowhere” has been available on Amazon since October 13, in hardcover and paperback format. It is the global launch of the book on publishing platforms.

Why does Casto Divo receive the Antonio Roig Roselló Award?

Casto Divo has been distinguished in the Artivism category of the III edition of the Antonio Roig Roselló (ARR) Awards 2026, organized by the LGTBIQA+ association of the Pitiusas Sa Clau de s’Armari. According to the organization’s dossier, he is recognized as a “multifaceted creator who uses the fusion of artistic disciplines as a political and transformative trench,” whose work “intertwines performance, aesthetics, and social message to stir consciences and give voice to dissenting realities.”

The recognition comes as part of the awards of this third edition, which honors twelve individuals and collectives this year. The awards gala will be on Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 6:30 PM, at the Cultural Space “Sa Peixateria”, in Ibiza.

What are the Antonio Roig Roselló Awards?

The ARR Awards were born in May 2024, driven by Sa Clau de s’Armari d’Eivissa i Formentera, to recognize and make visible the work of individuals, entities, and key projects in the fight for equality and LGTBIQA+ rights, with special attention to the insular realities of Ibiza, Formentera, Menorca, and Mallorca.

The name of the awards pays tribute to Antonio Roig Roselló (Ibiza, 1939), a writer and former Carmelite priest whose 1977 novel, Not All Parks Are a Paradise — finalist for the Planeta Prize — openly addressed homosexuality and the crisis of faith. That work cost him his expulsion from his religious order, but it made him a pioneer of literary visibility under Francoism.
