The immersive exhibition based on the legendary FRIENDS™ series arrives at IFEMA MADRID and is positioned as one of the most popular activities to enjoy in groups.
Looking for a different and memorable plan for this Easter? The FRIENDS™ Experience: The One in Madrid has become one of the most attractive proposals in the capital. Located in Pavilion 14.1 of IFEMA MADRID, this exhibition is already one of the most talked about leisure phenomena of the year.
Inspired by one of the most beloved series of all time, the experience is much more than an exhibition: it is an invitation to relive unforgettable moments with characters who marked generations. Since its opening in March, families, friends and fans of FRIENDS™ have packed its halls, confirming the success of this proposal organized by Proactiv Entertainment.
A nostalgic journey through the most iconic settings
The tour proposes a complete immersion in the universe of the series: from posing next to Rachel and Monica’s famous purple door, relaxing in Chandler and Joey’s armchairs, to sitting on the iconic orange sofa of Central Perk. Everything has been recreated with a level of detail that excites both die-hard fans and those discovering the series for the first time.
The visit, which lasts about an hour, ends with a themed store where it is possible to purchase exclusive products. And for those who have always dreamed of having a coffee at Central Perk… yes, you can do it here. Madrid thus becomes the only place in Europe where you can live this experience.

Why does FRIENDS™ continue to mark new generations?
Although the series ended two decades ago, its ability to connect with audiences has not weakened. FRIENDS™ is about friendship, love, mistakes, laughter and awkward moments that anyone can relate to. And this exhibition appeals to that emotional connection. To that shared nostalgia.
But it also leaves a question in the air: are we still consuming entertainment that idealizes a very specific lifestyle, without real diversity or inclusive representation? Although the experience is fun and full of love, it doesn’t hurt to question what references we continue to choose and what stories still remain to be told.
But it also leaves a necessary question in the air: are we still consuming entertainment that idealizes a very specific lifestyle, with hardly any diversity or inclusive representation? Although the experience is fun and overflowing with love, it doesn’t hurt to question what references we continue to choose… and what stories are yet to be told.
Because yes, it’s nice to remember the eternal cafes in Central Perk, but it’s also nice to imagine future series where Monica is a trans chef, Ross a bisexual father with joint custody, or Phoebe a non-binary artist who sings in drag on the weekends.
And then yes: it will be our story that will conquer the screens… and the exhibitions of tomorrow.
