One more year, Málaga is preparing to be the epicenter of literature and diversity with the celebration of the IV LGTBIQ+ Book Fair. Organized by the Andalusian LGBT Diversity Federation, this event has established itself as a cultural reference in the region, offering a unique meeting point for publishers, authors, bookstores and, of course, all reading lovers.
An Unmissable Date in the Heart of Malaga
The fair will take place on Saturday, October 4, 2025 on the emblematic Paseo del Parque, an idyllic setting for a day dedicated to literature and the defense of LGTBIQ+ rights. But the celebration is not limited to a single day; During the previous week, a complementary cultural program will be developed, which will include book presentations and talks, thus enriching the experience of attendees.
The main objective of this initiative is to continue strengthening a diverse and inclusive cultural network, where each written word becomes a powerful vehicle for visibility, memory and social transformation. Isn’t it fascinating how stories can change the world?
Regulations to Participate: Promoting a Respectful and Inclusive Space
To guarantee that the fair takes place in an environment of respect, inclusion and coherence with the values of the LGTBIQ+ community, the organization has established clear regulations for everyone interested in participating:
- Participation objective: The aim is to promote authors and titles that defend the rights and visibility of the LGTBIQ+ collective. It is essential that participants share this commitment, so any application from individuals or companies that have shown LGTBIphobic behavior will be rejected.
- Coordination of activities: All the activities proposed by the participants will be coordinated by the organization of the fair and the collaborating entities, in order to create a unified calendar that optimizes the promotion and dissemination of the event.
- Behavior of participants: Any indication of counter-programming or lack of respect will be considered a serious offense, which may result in the expulsion of the participant without refund of the fee and the prohibition of future participation.
- Recommendations: Small publishers are encouraged to group together to facilitate their participation and reduce costs, thus encouraging collaboration and access to this important space.
Registration Modalities: Opening Doors to Everyone
The fair offers various registration modalities, adapting to the needs and characteristics of different types of participants:
- Modality 1 (€20): For self-published authors and publishers born in 2024 and 2025, with 1 or 2 books. The books will be exhibited in the “Rainbow Bookstore”, a communal table where editors can present and sell their projects.
- Mode 2 (½ table – €35): For publishers with up to 4 titles.
- Mode 3 (€50): For publishers with between 5 and 29 titles.
- Mode 4 (€80): For publishers with 30 or more titles, and groups of 3-4 publishers.
- Mode 5 (€100): For publishers with 10 or more years of experience and members, bookstores and distributors.
There is also a price for a single registration with activity and without a table of €25.
