The Catalan capital continues to burn stages to become the world headquarters of pride. The Organizing Committee of Pride Barcelona has announced today the birth of the Barcelona Pride Awards, an ambitious initiative that seeks to professionalize and reward excellence in the defense of LGBTQIA+ rights. The gala will not only be an awards ceremony, but also the great meeting point between institutions, activism and the business community that drives social change.
A jury of experts for 23 categories
The organization has designed a very exhaustive award system to not leave any reality out. The awards are structured into three large blocks that define the city’s diverse ecosystem:
- Pride Speakers: Focused on culture and communication.
- Memory and Social Transformation: To recognize grassroots activism and historical struggle.
- Partnerships and Business Impact: Rewarding companies that apply real inclusion and diversity policies.
To guarantee rigor, the jury is made up of leading figures in the world of human rights and cultural management, under the direct coordination of Pride Barcelona.
