What is the recognition «LGTBIfobia-free Space»?
The recognition «LGTBIfobia-free Space» is a symbolic badge from the Junta de Andalucía. It is awarded to entities and institutions that demonstrate a real commitment to the rights of LGTBI people and to the creation of inclusive and safe spaces.

Until when can applications be submitted?
Applications can be submitted from the day after the publication of the order in the BOJA until October 29, 2026. This third edition is managed by the Department of Social Services, Families and Equality.
Interested entities therefore have about one month to prepare their application and prove that they meet the requirements.
What requirements must be met?
To qualify for the badge, public and private entities and institutions must meet three main conditions:
- Have expressly included activities to promote the rights of equality and non-discrimination of LGTBI people.
- Adopt organizational and technical measures that guarantee equality in the cultural, recreational, and leisure activities they organize.
- In the case of public entities, prove that in the last three years they have allocated budgetary resources to activities related to diversity.
The third condition is especially relevant: municipalities and other administrations are asked for invested money, not just statements. To obtain the seal, the commitment to diversity must appear in the budget.

Since its creation in 2024, the recognition «LGTBIfobia-free Space» has distinguished 134 Andalusian entities. In the first call, 66 were recognized and in the second, 68.
The figures show a stable interest. With this third call, the network of spaces committed to diversity in Andalusia can continue to grow.

The call comes in a context of concern about the increase in hate speech. In Revista Rainbow we recently reported that 83% of respondents in Asturias perceive an increase in LGTBI prejudices. We also reported cases such as the homophobic aggression in Cartagena.
